The Day My Fridge Left Me

A heartbreak comedy in 5 confused acts.

🧊 Act I – Cold Hearted Goodbye

I came home.
Fridge was gone.
Just… gone.

Left a Post-it note on the floor:

“I’m tired of being opened and never appreciated.
You never say thanks. You only take.
I’ve moved to the neighbour’s house.
They store better cheese.”
— Fridge, out. 🧊

I collapsed on the kitchen floor next to my lonely half-used ketchup bottle.
“I should’ve told him I loved him when I had the chance,” I whispered.

🍕 Act II – A Therapy Session with a Pizza Box

The empty pizza box on the counter decided to speak up.

Pizza Box: “You always do this. Lose things. People. Appliances.”

Me: “You’re a box.”

Pizza Box: “I was once full of purpose. Now I’m crust and regret.”

🤖 Act III – The Fridge’s New Life

Meanwhile, across the street, my fridge was LIVING.

  • He got wheels installed.
  • Rebranded himself as “Chillax-9000.”
  • Started a podcast: “Cool Thoughts with a Cold Unit.”
  • His first guest was a blender who identifies as a smoothie activist.

🪟 Act IV – I Tried to Win Him Back

I stood outside the neighbour’s kitchen window, holding a frozen lasagna like a boombox.
“I brought your favourite,” I yelled. “Please come home!”

Neighbour’s microwave glared.
Fridge (through Bluetooth speaker): “I’ve moved on. You don’t defrost properly.”
My lasagna slipped from my hand… frozen like my heart. 🥶💔

🧘‍♂️ Act V – Inner Peace with the Air Fryer

In time, I healed.

I met an air fryer at a garage sale.
She was crispy, compact, emotionally available.

She whispered:

“I don’t keep things cold. But I’ll always keep things warm.” 🔥✨

🎭 Epilogue:

The fridge sent a postcard years later.

“Hope you’re doing well.
I saw your lasagna on Instagram. It looked… edible.
Stay cool.”
– Your Fridge ❄️

📌 Moral of the Story?

Even machines have limits. Even cheese deserves respect.
And sometimes… you don’t need closure. You need to clean your kitchen.
