Hadith:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“The one who does not show mercy to others will not be shown mercy.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
Real-Life Example:
Two neighbors, Khalid and Samir, live side by side:
- Khalid is kind and helpful—he checks on his neighbors, helps when needed, and treats everyone with respect. When he faces difficulties, people rush to support him because of the kindness he has shown.
- Samir, on the other hand, is rude and unkind—he never helps anyone and always speaks harshly. When he needs help, no one feels inclined to assist him because he never showed kindness to others.
This Hadith teaches that mercy and kindness come back to us. If we want love, support, and forgiveness, we must first give it to others—whether in family, friendships, or society.
